Mag Club Members come one, come all--we're discussing Blumenhaus!
All Mag Club discussions are organized similarly to a book club. As your host, Mag Club founder Jasmine, will lead the conversation, but all attendees are encouraged to come with their own questions for the group, and some favorite/hated parts to get into.
We'll be meeting at the Lobby Bar at the Ace Hotel in downtown Brooklyn. Drinks and bites will be provided by the club.

It’s time for another field trip to the New York Public Library! For over an hour, we’ll have access to a personally curated collection of materials from their Picture/Image and Magazine Collection, and all of it will relate to our seasonal pick: Blumenhaus.
Free to attend, but must be a subscriber to the Mag Club Substack.

It’s time to wrap up our Summer Club Read: Byline. Let’s get together at Talea in the West Village. Bring your magazine, some questions, and a hearty appetite for conversation.

Mag Club is heading to the New York Public Library again! This time we'll be doing a deep dive on Interview magazine across the decades. Come and join us in a private, and oh-so-inspiring room as we flip through the pages of celebrities past.

Quarterly Club Hang where we discuss the most recent club read (Mother Tongue) and anything else we want to. Please bring your magazine (if you have one), questions for the class and a tip top 'tude.
If you're new or curious about the club, this will also act as an info session where you'll be able to ask questions.
Lastly, IF you'd like to purchase any magazine titles direct (no shipping) please submit your order by EOD the day before.
Drinks will be on the club (up to a limit but at least 1/person).

Field Trip: NYPL Private Tour & Magazine Viewing
Our favorite librarian at the New York Public Library is giving us another private tour and magazine viewing. For this visit, they’ll be pulling parenting magazines to compliment our Winter Club Read: Mother Tongue. After our session wraps, we’ll head on over to Maman for some bites & coffee.
Field Trip | Press Play
Pioneer Works is hosting Press Play, their weekend-long fair featuring books, records, art, magazines, etc. On top of the fair, there will be art, events, and workshops woven throughout, including an on-site workshop with Secret Riso Club.
RSVP is free. Let’s meet outside the fair at 4 and explore together (or whatever). Afterwards, we’ll take a short walk over to Sunny’s where I’ll open a tab for us—drinks are on the club.

“It's that time again! Issue Three of Strange Matters is chock-full of amazing work by a diverse and interdisciplinary crew of writers spread across the world.
Without having set out to, we've just dropped what almost amounts to the Tech Issue, featuring: a philosophical editorial that explores the history and problems of technology under capitalism, a peek into the squabbles of the fascist "thought leaders" funded by the lords of Silicon Valley, the sad tale of how venture capital devoured the blockchain socialists, a manifesto for looking at the global economy through a socio-material lens, how the face of an unknown drowned girl shaped modernist art and the science of resuscitation, and even some poems in the voice of ChatGPT.
